Touching was published in 2018 by Small Editions in Brooklyn, New York, in a variable edition of two. The larger sections of the book are acrylic marbling, adapted from European patterns and techniques, which themselves evolved from Turkish “ebru.” The smaller booklet sheets are Japanese suminagashi, the oldest form of marbling. The larger papers were handmade by Dieu Donné for this body of work. The suminagashi is made on a selection of Japanese washi. The book is housed in a custom foil stamped slipcase.
